Working Student - ReOrder Project (m/f/d)

Job Purpose
The European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) seeks a Working Student to assist with Re:Order project’s overall event management and logistics activities and research efforts, ensuring the smooth execution of various tasks related to organizing events and day-to-day office administration. This role offers hands-on experience in planning and coordinating events within an international non-profit organization. Key tasks include managing RSVPs, coordinating catering, handling logistical arrangements, and general administrative assistance. This is a great opportunity to learn the behind-the-scenes aspects of event management in a dynamic, multinational environment.
Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in the organization of events, including preparing lists of participants, sending invitations, tracking registrations, and liaising with attendees;
  • Assist in handling logistical tasks such as coordinating with venues, hotels and catering companies
  • Oversee and address timely correspondence of general inbox, ensuring timely and accurate communication with partners and participants;
  • Update and maintain the project’s and the Berlin office’s contact database;
  • Assist with research and follow relevant debates and monitor political developments in Germany.




Person Specification
Education
  • Currently enrolled in Political Science, International Relations, Event Management or a related field in a German university or higher education institution. Please note that graduates are not eligible.
Skills and Abilities
Skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). 
  • Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proactive and flexible attitude, with a willingness to take on varied tasks, including administrative and logistical tasks.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and German.

  • Highly motivated with a can-do attitude
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Adaptable and flexible with a willingness to take on varied tasks 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multinational team
